FSM story features JHS students who threw out first pitch at Cards-Royals game

Fox Sports Midwest's website has a feature on Joplin High School softball players Danielle Campbell and Mikaela Craig, who threw out the first pitch at Friday night's Cardinals-Royals game:
They each lost their homes when an EF-5 twister struck the southwest Missouri community May 22. They each knew Friday meant something more.

"I'm doing this to represent Joplin," said Campbell, a senior, "and to show that we're not going to give up."

"We're here for a good reason," said Craig, a recent graduate. "We're representing our town."

The presence of Craig and Campbell was a reminder that the Joplin tragedy will linger for years to come. Reporters and television cameras that swarmed the battered town have mostly moved on.
