SMB opens heat relief station

Southwest Missouri Bank (SMB) announced today that they are standing by to help area workers and volunteers and are opening a Heat Relief Station in the Duquesne Community Center, located adjacent to the Duquesne branch, 4000 E. 7th Street in Joplin.

The Duquesne Community Room is a beautiful, well-appointed room adjacent to the main facility and is frequently used by various area organizations and groups. The Heat Relief Station will be open from 9:30 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday, and will offer those working on debris removal projects a place to rest and cool off in the air conditioning, restrooms, and SMB will keep the room stocked with snacks, drinks and a TV.
