Blunt: Raising taxes is sending the wrong message

  1. Hmmm. Now why does Mr. Blunt think that restoring pre-Bush tax rates to the very wealthiest among us is
"Sending the wrong message". I am concerned that his opinion on this topic is tinted by the feelings of Altria (formerly Philip Morris), the good folks that brought you Enron and Microsoft PAC, the major contributors to his ROYB Pac. Might that not be so? Has anyone investigated such? And why do people keep calling it a tax hike when what we are talking about is restoring normal rates pre-cut? Perhaps someone could spell it all out for me.

So what kind of message does it send when we default on our debt?

We don't have no stinking taxing problem, we have a stinking spending problem.

The Bush tax cuts were supposed to create jobs. Where are they? They didn't create any in THIS country. Let the wealthy share the pain and ease the burden on the rest of us.

What Blunt wants to do is make the old, the sick, and the lame shoulder the burden.

The only thing trickling down from the wealthy is the spittle from their double chins and that includes Blunt's.

What is the tax rate on income above $250,000?
