News-Leader message to Billy Long- Fed up is wearing thin

In an editorial in today's edition, the Springfield News-Leader encouraged Seventh District Congressman B Billy Long to use common sense in his stance concerning the nation's debt ceiling:

When we endorsed Billy Long's bid for the U.S. House last fall, we urged him to use his proven business skills and asked him "to bring common sense to Washington."

Common sense tells you we should not play games with the country's credit rating by defaulting on our obligations.

Common sense tells you we should pay our bills -- and not just the priorities that Long has suggested: Social Security, Medicare, troop payments and other funds for national security.

Common sense tells you it's time to make a deal with Obama and the Democrats, and we think Long's job is to work toward the best possible compromise, not take an absolutist position.

Being "fed up" is wearing thin.

I'm gonna hafta stop getting the News-Leader. When the N-L endorsed Long, I crapped my pants. When I read the 'Our Voice' today where the N-L said 'Fed Up' was wearing a little thin, I crapped my pants. I'm running out of pants.

I think Billy is a Nine Percenter.

Neanderthals had sex with humans, says DNA
Nine percent of humans everywhere except Africa may be part Neanderthal

Long carried a sweat-soaked pocket version of the U.S. Constitution all during the campaign for Congress waving it before an equally, uneducated crowd and, apparently, never once opened it.

So, for you Billy and all of you other non-readers:

Amendment XIV; Section 4: "The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts inclurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned."

well folks, you elected him...you live with him.
when you elect someone that is not smart, but has the good old boy gift of gab, you end up getting your "tit in a wringer".

If you elect someone with the gift of gab, all you ever get is gab.

For example, last night Bill Stouffer was at a BBQ and it was very apparent why the people rejected him for Vicky Hartzler for MO-4 Congress. He's a gabber.

And,Lord help us, he is running for Secretary of State.

Well finally the NL decided to take a shot at their "boy". A little late I'd say.

He's not my Congressman and watching him, well,it's like watching a bad dream turn into a nightmare.

Once again the 7th District AMAZED me with their ignorance and their pride in their ignorance. It's one thing to be dumb (the NL endorsed this moron) but it's another thing to be proud of it (his coming endorsement AGAIN by the NL, they'll kiss and make up by then).

I wouldn't hire Long to feed my dog let alone have anything to do with running a country.

    That's just freaking scary.

Let me remind the Snooze Leader they endorsed Belly Long, now live with what you got. Remember the old saying, be careful what you wish for you just might get it.

Well they got it, he is the gift that keeps on giving.
