Auction of Sheryl Crow's car brings $130,000 to Joplin Schools

The auction of Missouri native Sheryl Crow's Mercedes brought $130,000 to Joplin, according to an article in the Springfield News-Leader:

The money will go to the Joplin Schools Recovery Fund, which is being administered through the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and its Joplin-based affiliate, The Community Foundation of Southwest Missouri Inc.

Crow was raised in Kennett and has never been to Joplin, but said she wanted to do something immediate to raise funds to help rebuild Joplin schools.
