Court records indicate accused child killer Salazar failed lie detector test
Judge Gayle Crane ordered the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office to turn over to defense lawyers any evidence that accused child killer Eddie Salazar failed a polygraph test.
The ruling was issued Thursday, according to online court records.
On Sept. 12, Judge Crane will consider defense motions to excluse thermal imaging tests and Verizon records.
The second degree murder trial, which was originally scheduled for May 16, is set for Jan. 23, 2012.
Salazar is charged with the February 2010 death of his eight-month-old son Eddie Salazar Jr.
The child's body was found in February in Spring River. The autopsy determined the infant died from blunt force head trauma.
