The St. Louis Cardinals will most likely remove second baseman/outfielder Skip Schumaker and starting pitcher Jake Westbrook from the roster for the league championship series against the Milwaukee Brewers and will replace them with two relievers.
Schumaker was injured in the last game of the first round of the playoffs while Westbrook was the only Cardinal who did not appear in the round and has been pounded by Milwaukee hitters this year.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the relievers will come from among the trio of Kyle McClellan, Eduardo Sanchez, and Lance Lynn.
