Signing for Kansas City Star Joplin Tornado book set for Saturday

“Joplin: 5:41” has been released by Kansas City Star Books and all royalties from the book go to the Joplin Recovery Fund managed by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) and the Community Foundation of Southwest Missouri.
A Joplin book signing with one of the book’s contributing writers, Laura Bauer, is scheduled at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Joplin Library, 300 South Main Street, Joplin, Mo. 64801.
The book is dedicated to “The people of Joplin,” and includes a foreword by Joplin’s City Manager Mark Rohr.
A limited number of books will be available for purchase at the library, and are available online at www.thekansascitystore.com. At either location, Joplin residents will receive $5 off the purchase price of the book.
