The Veterans Committee has an opportunity to correct one of the Baseball Hall of Fame's great oversights. The list of 10 candidates for possible induction issued Thursday, includes the late Ken Boyer, an Alba native, who was an all-star third baseman for the Cardinals and the National League MVP in 1964.
Also on the list is pitcher Jim Kaat who was on the Cardinal staff during the World Championship 1982 season, and Minnie Minoso, who played briefly for the Cardinals in 1962.
