Dr. Janet Kavandi, NASA director of flight operations, is shown presenting President Obama with a jacket featuring dccals from numerous space shuttle missions Tuesday.
The occasion was a drop-by visit from the crew of the United States' final space shuttle mission.
Dr. Kavandi, a graduate of Carthage Senior High School and Missouri Southern State University, was one of the astronauts who flew space shuttle missions.
