Video by tornado victim Will Norton captures first place at MSSU Media Showcase

(JOPLIN, Mo.) – On Thursday, November 3, Joplin High School earned multiple video production

awards during the annual Missouri Southern State University Media Showcase held at MSSU.

Awards were presented in eight categories. Eleven area high schools submitted entries. Joplin

High School earned 22 out of 30 awards presented including the Sweepstakes Winner given to

the best overall video production by a high school.

    Yes, all of the other kids who won awards. There's nothing wrong with them giving Will the top award posthumously. Comments like that only hurt the others who are trying to heal.
