Under a bill filed by Sen. Will Kraus, R-Lee's Summit, Missouri school districts would be required to determine if students are here legally. Kraus says that is so we will know how much money is being spent on illegal immigrants. Of course, there is no mention of how much it will cost Missouri school districts to implement this legislation or why we are adding another burden to schools that has nothing to do with education.
