Poll: Steelman leads GOP Senate race

(From the Sarah Steelman for U. S. Senate campaign)

In an independent poll released yesterday, Sarah holds a commanding lead in the primary election for U.S. Senate in Missouri! Public Policy Polling, an independent polling company based out of North Carolina, just released new data showing Sarah leading fellow primary opponents Congressman Todd Akin and John Brunner.

Public Policy Polling reports that if the primary election where to be held today Sarah would receive 32%, Akin 23% and Brunner 18%. Sarah comes in 9% points ahead of her nearest competitor in the first independent public poll since all three candidates have announced!

"I have been traveling across the state meeting with individuals, small businesses, farmers, community organizations and all sorts of people who are worried about the direction our country is headed." said Sarah. "Missourians want someone who is willing to stand up against the status quo in Washington and restore government back to the people. They want someone to represent them who cares enough to listen to their concerns, shares their ideas, and respects what they value."

"I am energized by the overwhelming support I have been gathering across this state. I am fortunate enough to have received over 6,000 grassroots contributions and gained a following of over 10,000 grassroots supporters online. This strong support tells me our conservative message of reducing the size of government, balancing the budget, cutting and capping spending, and working toward a simpler, fairer and flatter tax structure is resonating. People are sick of empty rhetoric in thirty second ads -- they want real results."
