It did not take long for U. S. Senate candidate Sarah Steelman to jump on comments made by President Obama to a Russian official. The release is printed below.
United States Senate Candidate Sarah Steelman is upset with President Obama's foreign policy again. During an exchange with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, President Obama revealed that he needed "space" and that this was his "last election" so he would soon have more "flexibility" in his foreign policy particularly in regards to missile defense. Steelman had this to say.
"Which ever way anyone tries to spin this, it was yet another example of the President showing appalling weakness and doublespeak regarding the security of our country. We've gone from big stick diplomacy to whispering 'cut me slack till I fool the voters one more time and I'll let you off the hook'. The safety of this nation is no matter to be toyed with Mr. President and we won't stand for it."
Steelman has been consistently critical of President Obama's stance on several issues relating to foreign policy, particularly Iran, and believes that if President Obama is so certain of his next term he's going to have to be careful of the United States Senate.
"President Obama may think he's got reelection in the bag but I assure you that's not the case, especially here in Missouri. That's why this election is critical. If I am in the U.S. Senate I will support a strong national defense promoting American strength instead of apologizing to all our enemies. Senator McCaskill has shown little leadership on any foreign policy issue. The fact is, when she does promote cuts in government they always seem to come from our military. I will work to ensure the military has all the resources it needs to be successful. It is imperative that we remove both President Obama and Senator McCaskill from office to preserve a strong American defense and protect our national security."
I thought Joe Biden was the gift that kept on giving but the President is giving him a run for his money.

The President must stop bowing to Putan and put on his big boy britches. The world needs for him to be a stronger leader for human rights, freedom and the dream of democracy for all mankind.
