Ed Emery: Public education is a pipeline to prison

In this entry in his video platform series, former Rep. Ed Emery, R-Lamar, a candidate for State Senate, indicates that public education, especially in Kansas City and St. Louis, is just a pipeline to prison and tells why he and his wife homeschooled their children.

Well, Ed's kids hopefully do not have his personality disorder.

And, thanks to my public schools education, I can do research; reason with the findings; and, come to a conclusion that Ed does not need another public forum to run down our public eduction system.

    So what do you propose
we do about those kids in the inner-city schools? We are spending $15,000 to $16,000 a year on each child there and yet the schools have been declared as failing schools. We owe every child an opportunity to be educated so they can lead successful lives - not just the ones who live in good school districts. If the system is not working, then we should fix it. Like I asked, what do you propose to fix the problem?
