The Missouri Senate postponed a vote Monday on SB 806, Jane Cunningham's bill, which would double the time it takes teachers to receive tenure from five years to 10.
If the bill is approved, it would take Missouri teachers longer than any teachers in the United States to earn tenure.
The bill is still expected to be voted on before the end of the week.
