In this radio interview, U. S. Senate candidate Sarah Steelman takes a strong stance in favor of her right not to know. The former state treasurer, who was caught off guard by a question last week and said she did not know anything about the Violence Against Women Act, is perturbed that there are some people who find that ignorance appalling.
That being said, it is not true that her opponent Todd Akin said, "A woman's place is in the oven."
