This video comes from Vice President Joe Biden's speech to the NEA. I am trying to get a transcript of the complete speech, but this has some of the highlights, including the vice president saying, "I can't think of a candidate (Mitt Romney) who has ever made such a direct assault on such an honorable profession."
Sock it to 'em, Joe! Way to go.

Teachers are the unsung heros of the age.
ReplyDeleteAnyone can tear down, Mr. Romney. Teachers build up!
How pathetic
that because you have nothing specific or productive to offer, you attempt to tear down those who do.
The "direct assault," in my opinion Mr. Biden, is Obamacare. Because of it, we teachers will now have 20 new taxes to pay. In addition, I have always tried to explain to my students why the "f" word is inappropriate and you not only say it but you endorse t-shirts with it on there.
ReplyDeleteWhat 20 new taxes will a teacher have to pay?
ReplyDeleteConsidering that the only people who will pay a "tax" or those healthy people who choose not to buy insurance, and that nearly all teachers are covered by a health insurance plan, I can't figure out how we will have even one new tax, let alone 20. Apparently, we have a teacher who is limiting his or her listening to Fox News.
ReplyDeleteWish this wasn't edited and I could see the whole speech. Thanks, Joe! The GOP wants to cut spending to pay for the debt-based economic system so their money doesn't lose its value when default comes. They only seem to care about the high rollers with more money in their accounts than they could ever spend back into the economy on their own. Oh, and some of those high rollers don't want to pay higher taxes either, so even if they could spend most of their money back into the economy, few of them are actually willing to do so. Then they blame people like me for voting for a party that actually tries to support the middle class, raise taxes on the high rollers, and invest in the infrastructure of the country. To me, the GOP have their priorities entirely out of order.
