Don't worry Jane Cunningham! Sarah Steelman will get that girl and her little dog, too!

One of the things I have always tried to do in the Turner Report is to put an end to baseless rumors. There is absolutely no truth to the story that in return for Jane Cunningham's support, Sarah Steelman has to hunt down a girl named Dorothy who is supposed to have killed Mrs. Cunningham's sister by landing a house on her. (Nothing to the story that she also has to get a little dog, too.)  The news release, which was issued earlier today, is printed below.

Republican State Senator Jane Cunningham from the 7th District in West Saint Louis County, is announcing her support for Sarah Steelman in the Republican primary to take on Claire McCaskill.
"Sarah Steelman is a powerful and unwavering voice for both fiscal and social conservatism, and I am proud to endorse her effort to take on Senator McCaskill. Missouri voters may not know this, but the U.S. Senate currently has only one consistently pro-life female senator. As one of only two pro-life women in the Missouri Senate, I know how critical it is to have the pro-life female perspective coupled with the ability and experience to fight for life. Sending Sarah to Washington would double this number and make clear that Missouri does not buy the line that so-called women's issues all require liberal, big government answers. Sarah is tested and has proven herself able to stick to her guns when the pressure builds. I, like Sarah Palin, support Sarah Steelman."
Cunningham is one of over 50 state legislators to endorse Steelman's bid for the Senate.
Steelman responded, "I am honored to receive Senator Cunningham's endorsement. Missourians know Jane for being the author and primary force behind Prop C, in which Missourians were the first in the country to go to the polls and overwhelmingly reject Obamacare in August 2010. Jane also knows what it takes for a woman to be successful in what is still a male-dominated institution. Because of those things, her confidence in me is all the more appreciated."
Steelman concluded, “I remain grateful for all the public servants who continue to offer their support of my campaign. These men and women know that what Washington needs is more Show-Me State common sense, a balanced budget and a secure credit rating. I’m going to go to D.C. to get that done."

The endorsement and a couple of dollars will buy Sarah Steelman a cup of coffee, which she'll definitely need in trying to hunt down Dorothy and her little dog, too. After all, thanks to the NRA, Dorothy's locked and loaded these days, ready to defend her Kansas castle and Toto, too with AK-47s and the like. It's the wild, wild West, Act Two. Rick Nichols.
