Don't expect any break from the continuing down and dirty advertising blitz that has hit our television screens over the past few days.
Documents filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission today indicate that Better Government for Missouri, the shadowy organization that was formed just six days ago and poured $100,000 into the Peter Kinder/Horny Toad ad, contributed another $200,000 to the St. Joseph-based Missourians for Conservative Values.
Missourians for Conservative Values has to report where its money comes from. Better Government for Missouri does not.
The proof won't come out for a while, but it appears likely that Better Government for Missouri was formed just so some rich people could foot the bill for slimy attack ads against Peter Kinder.
Of course, Kinder was the one who went to the Horny Toad, but is this really the type of politics we want in Missouri?
