Akin on abortion: if it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways of shutting that down
In this interview with Charles Jaco of Fox 2 in St. Louis, Todd Akin manages to deliver the following gems:
-The states should pay for school lunches.
-The states should control voting rights, not the federal government.
-We need to make sure everyone has a right to vote once "every living person."
-We should return to having the states rather than popular vote elect U. S. senators.
-And the big one, which you can find in the second video, Akin says on the question of whether
"If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways of shutting that down. The punishment should be of the rapist, not the child."
