In the first Jaco Report since Todd Akin's "legitimate" rape comments went viral last Sunday, former U. S. Senator John Danforth reiterates his belief that Akin should drop out of the Senate race.
Danforth said, "It's such a distraction from the real questions before our country." The major question, he said, is what to do about the deficit.
Charles Jaco asks, "What compelling reason do you and other Republicans have to remove Todd Akin from the ballot?"
Danforth quickly moves every question toward the debt issue and away from Akin's "legitimate" rape comments.
Danforth also puts the entire blame for Akin's victory on Claire McCaskill, saying that "Todd Akin is the creature of Claire McCaskill."
