Nixon ad: Don't you think Spence's bank should pay back TARP funds before he runs for office?
The Missouri Record addressed this previously. "The board that Spence served on at the time the TARP funds were sought and received was charged only with overseeing St. Louis area banks. The attack is conflating two different boards with two different responsibilities. Even this attack site provides information that Spence joined the holding company board after the TARP money was received." Jay Nixon is knowingly misleading the reader.
