The conventional wisdom has been that Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon is virtually a shoo-in for re-election next month, but apparently the National Republican Governors Association does not think the race is a lock.
Forty-eight hour reports filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission indicate the National Republican Governors Association based in Washington, D. C. put $3 million into the state chapter, which in turn gave $950,000 to Republican candidate Dave Spence.
