National Weather Service issues wind advisory for Joplin area Thursday

.AN INTENSE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL RAPIDLY MOVE NORTHEAST
THROUGH THE REGION THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS...DRAGGING A STRONG COLD FRONT THROUGH THE AREA. BEHIND THIS
FRONT...STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE...WITH AREAS ALONG
AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 44 EXPERIENCING SUSTAINED SPEEDS BETWEEN
25 AND 30 MPH...WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL
OCCUR FROM JUST BEFORE SUNRISE THROUGH THE MID MORNING HOURS
THURSDAY.
