Turner Report poll voters were not impressed with Missouri legislators' efforts to deal with gun violence in the wake of the murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
The poll, which closed about an hour ago, ended with 17 percent agreeing with the bill sponsored by Rep. Mike Kelley, R-Lamar, to arm classroom teachers. Three percent agreed with the plan of Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City, to have parents with guns to report that information to schools. No one went along with the bill by Sen. Dan Brown, R-Rolla, to have all first graders take an NRA gun safety class or the bill from Rep. Diane Franklin, R-Camdenton, to put a tax on violent video games.
An overwhelming 80 percent of respondents opted for the "Are these guys kidding?" option.
Thanks for voting.
