U.S. Rep. Billy Long Wednesday voted in favor of the Require a PLAN Act, which would hold the president accountable for submitting a balanced budget.
“I remain committed to restoring fiscal responsibility in Washington,” Long said. “The American people must live by a budget and cannot spend more than they can afford. There is no reason why Washington should not do the same. It is imperative for the president to submit a balanced budget.”
The Require a PLAN Act (H.R. 444) would require the president to either produce a budget plan that balances within the 10-year budget window or provide a supplemental budget plan that identifies the fiscal year the plan would balance.
I like it!
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious. Budgetary matters are the responsibility of the House of Representatives.
