There is no text that can't wait until I get to a place to stop and read it. There is nothing so important that it can't wait until I can stop to type it. On long trips I have designated texters in the car with me which is a great thing about having teenagers.
People should not text and drive - period. However, this would be one more law when what we need is common sense and compassion... something you can't legislate.
