Roorda bill would make filing anti-union legislation a felony

Two can play at that game.

In an apparent response to the bill filed by Rep. Mike Leara, R-St. Louis, which would make filing gun control legislation felony, Rep. Mike Roorda, D-Barnhart, filed a bill Wednesday to make filing anti-union bills a felony.

The text of HB 677 reads as follows:

Any member of the general assembly who proposes a piece of legislation that further restricts the right of an individual to bargain collectively, as set forth under section 29, article I of the Missouri Constitution, shall be guilty of a class D felony.

The bill is co-sponsored by Rep. Bob Burns, D-St. Louis; Rep. Jacob Hummel, D-St. Louis; and Rep. Mike Colona, D-St. Louis.

Leara's bill, HB 633, has no co-sponsors.

The Legislature, you know The House of Unrepresentatives in particular, went to Jefferson City primarily to create jobs for Missourians.

Has anyone seen or heard of a single job they might have created, other than a political patronage job?

    Worthless bunch.
