Severe thunderstorm warning for Jasper, Barton counties until 12:30 a.m.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  BARTON COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...
  NORTHERN JASPER COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...
  SOUTHERN VERNON COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 1230 AM CDT

* AT 1129 PM CDT...A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED ALONG A
  LINE EXTENDING FROM 20 MILES NORTHWEST OF MINDENMINES TO 15 MILES
  WEST OF CARL JUNCTION...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH.

  HAZARD...QUARTER SIZE HAIL AND 70 MPH WIND GUSTS.

  SOURCE...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. CHEROKEE COUNTY EMERGENCY
  MANAGEMENT OBSERVED 70 MPH WIND GUSTS ACROSS WESTERN CHEROKEE
  COUNTY.

  IMPACT...HAIL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES AND CROPS IS EXPECTED. EXPECT
           CONSIDERABLE TREE DAMAGE. WIND DAMAGE IS ALSO LIKELY TO
           MOBILE HOMES...ROOFS AND OUTBUILDINGS.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  AIRPORT DRIVE...ALBA...CARL JUNCTION...CARTERVILLE...CARTHAGE...
  EXTREME NORTHERN JOPLIN...GOLDEN CITY...JASPER...LAMAR...LIBERAL...

  WALKER AND WEBB CITY.
