Trial of former Sarcoxie Board member on child porn charge delayed

The jury trial for former Sarcoxie Board of Education member John Lewis has been pushed back until at least October.

A motion for a continuance filed by Lewis' attorney, Dee Wampler of Springfield, was granted this morning, according to court documents.

Lewis, 67, is charged with sexual exploitation of minors. The affidavit detailing his alleged crimes can be found at this link.
