Flood warning continues for Spring River in Carthage

(From the National Weather Service)

THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR
THE SPRING RIVER AT CARTHAGE.
* AT 1:45 PM TUESDAY THE STAGE WAS 16.1 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 10.0 FEET.
* MODERATE FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MODERATE FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING TO NEAR 16.7 FEET BY THIS
EVENING. THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE TOMORROW EVENING.
* IMPACT...AT 16.0 FEET...FLOOD WATERS IMPACT THE RAILROAD TRACK ON
THE NORTH SIDE OF CARTHAGE ON CIVIL WAR ROAD AND SOME HOMES IN LOW
LYING AREAS ALONG GARRISON STREET OR HIGHWAY 571. LOW LYING AREAS
ALONG JAVA STREET, PRIMM STREET AND MAIN STREET NORTH OF THE SPRING
RIVER ALSO FLOOD.
