THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR * PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS. * THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING * ANOTHER ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL WILL IMPACT THE AREA OVERNIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. EXCESSIVE RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. * TORRENTIAL RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR COULD QUICKLY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING OF STREAMS...LOW LYING OR POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS. LOCATIONS THAT NORMALLY DO NOT FLOOD WILL BE AT RISK FOR FLOODING. THOSE CAMPING OR FLOATING ON AREA RIVERS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RISING WATER LEVELS. THOSE TRAVELING OVERNIGHT AND DURING THE MORNING COMMUTE ON TUESDAY SHOULD BE ALERT FOR FLOODED ROADS. ADDITIONAL RISES AND FLOODING MAY ALSO DEVELOP ON MAIN STEM RIVERS. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
