Strong to severe storms possible this evening

(From the National Weather Service)

RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE IN BOTH COVERAGE AND
INTENSITY LATER THIS AFTERNOON. SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE
STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SOME STORMS
WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH...AND HAIL TO
THE SIZE OF QUARTERS. AN ISOLATED TORNADO WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.
IN ADDITION TO SEVERE WEATHER...THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE
AREAS OF TORRENTIAL RAINFALL. LATE THIS EVENING INTO THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS...WIDESPREAD MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED
TO DEVELOP. WITH ALREADY SATURATED GROUND...FLASH FLOODING WILL
BE POSSIBLE. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
