Attorney General's office to help prosecute accused Golden City child killer

The attorney general's office will help in the prosecution of accused child killer Bobby Dale Bourne, 34, Lockwood.

During a hearing Tuesday in Barton County Circuit Court, Assistant Attorney General Kevin Zoellner made an appearance. Online court records indicate another assistant attorney general, Monty Platz, has also signed on for the case.

Bourne is charged with first degree murder, forcible rape, statutory rape, and kidnapping, in connection with the death of 12-year-old Adriaunna Horton of Golden City

Bourne's preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Jan. 8.

He is currently in prison serving a 15-year sentence after a judge ruled shortly after Bourne was arrested on the current charges that he had violated his probation on charges of tampering and assault on a police officer.
