One major difference between Speaker of the House Tim Jones, R-Eureka, and many of the gun enthusiasts who support his stance on Second Amendment issues- they pay their own National Rifle Association membership dues.
Jones' quarterly campaign finance report, filed Monday with the Missouri Ethics Commission, shows that among the Speaker's $122,358.72 in expenditures was a $600 payment to "NRA of America" for membership.
Jones could certainly afford the expense. The report showed he received $235,657 during the quarter, and ended it with $741,492.27 in his account.
Perhaps he can use campaign contributions for membership in an ethical society?
