Joseph Paul Franklin may be put to death today

Though two federal judges issued stays of execution for serial killer Joseph Paul Franklin Tuesday, Franklin, who was scheduled to die at midnight, may still meet his maker sometime today.

Early this morning, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals lifted the stays of execution and the state has a 24-hour window in which to execute Franklin, who was responsible for more than 20 murders.
