The Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office has filed felony murder and armed criminal action charges against Jeffrey Bruner, 37, Joplin, in connection with Friday night's shooting death of Missouri Southern State University offensive line coach Derek Moore.
Moore was killed in the parking lot outside Northstar 14 Theatres.
The shooting was reported at 9:50 p.m. A Duquesne Police officer arrested Bruner two minutes later.
Bruner is being held without bond.
As noted in an earlier Turner Report/Inside Joplin post, Bruner's wife, Dawn Michele Bruner, works at Missouri Southern as a reserve police officer.
Come on randy. Obviously you want your readers to understand the sordid details about this tragedy. Dipping your toes into the unconfirmed but obvious link between the wife of the shooter and the victim is annoying. Either go straight TMZ or stick with the facts. I am surprised by the way you have no problem putting out innuendos and gossip and very personal private matters of anyone who works for Huff and now this after what happened to you. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Oh wait - your book was intended to hurt Angie and Huff. Then you were hurt by them. Karma is a bitch.
ReplyDeleteHow grotesque is it that the admin (or their few supporters) are choosing this venue to mount an offensive? Well, it's offensive, alright. We have to suppose it's because what is printed about them in other entries is true so they are reduced to cheap shots. It is pathetic and an intrusion into what is a truly tragic situation. Please leave the MSSU family and the current situation out of your sad attempts to defend your honor, or the lack thereof.
DeleteDoes Angie go by the name Anonymous now?
ReplyDeleteBitter much, 1:49? Pots and kettles?

ReplyDeleteAnonymous seems to think that a public shooting endangering everyone in the area is a personal matter not to be discussed. Seems a strange way to keep things private. Pointing out the only obvious connection between the shooter and victim is the fact that his wife works at MSSU same as the victim is putting out innuendos and gossip? Maybe she knows more than you said?
ReplyDeleteIts a very sad situation in every aspect... but killing someone doesn't fix anyones problems only creates a whole lot more.... sad it had to be done around a school and a family facility...and sad.that now kids arent going to have the fathers they need in their lives.... people.need to.grow.up and act like.civilized adults and know.when.to walk away and.be the.bigger and.better person in life....very horrible.and.very sad tragic situation.... adults also need to.stop putting.their selves first and think.about their kids!!!!! Selfish people!!!!! My heart goes out.to.the families and poor kids all wrapped up in this selfish act
ReplyDeleteI don't get where 1:49 is coming from. Maybe it's because what is written about the district is all true and based on documentation and therefore not arguable, so Mr. Turner is being attacked on other blogs? Looks desperate and is definitely out of place. Pathetic and sad. This situation is bad enough. It doesn't need someone like that trying to impose their personal agenda onto it.
ReplyDeleteWho brings something as ugly and irrelevant as the R8 situation into a tragedy like this, anyway? What an irreverent, selfish, appalling, and tacky comment. Shameful. God's blessings on all of those hurt by the action of the alleged perpetrator. His family and the victim's, as well as the MSSU family will need community support. Focus on that here.
ReplyDeleteI have first hand experience with Dawn... let's just say she and my EX husband were very close and I hate that yet another life has been ruined. My prayers go out to the family of thus MSSU coach.
