Gov. Jay Nixon today invited members of the House and Senate interim committees on Medicaid Transformation and Reform to join him on Tuesday, November 26 for a discussion about reforming the state's health care system to provide better outcomes for patients and better returns for taxpayers.
As the interim committees begin to wrap up their work, the Governor said the meeting would provide an opportunity for a productive dialogue about how to move forward on this important issue when the legislature returns to session in January.
The session will take place beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Governor's Office Building at 200 Madison Street in Jefferson City and is open to the press. The Governor will be available to take questions from members of the media following the event.
