After this morning's decision by the Western District Court of Appeals to toss Ryan Ferguson's conviction for the 2001 murder of Columbia Daily Tribune Sports Editor Kent Heitholt, his lawyers are demanding that he be released immediately.
The Boone County prosecuting attorney has 15 days to decide whether to retry Ferguson.
