Correction on Arrowhead Stadium murder: Original report wrong; thief was one who died.

A son apparently did not watch his father get murdered, as was reported moments ago. The original KCTV report indicated it was the father who had died when he and his son came across a man breaking into their car during the Chiefs-Broncos game today at Arrowhead Stadium.

KCTV reports "A man and his son had gone to their vehicle during the game. When they arrived, they found another man rifling through the vehicle and a disturbance broke out. The father apparently died during the fight."

This is the amended report:

Police sources tell KCTV5 that a man and his son had gone to their vehicle during the game. When they arrived, they found another man rifling through the vehicle and a fight broke out. The man who apparently did not belong in the vehicle died.

Police officials did not say whether the two in custody were the father and his son or not.

Officers were called to the scene at 5:20 p.m. The game started at 3:25 p.m.

As noted earlier on the Turner Report, this happens one year to the day after Kansas City linebacker Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, then turned the gun on himself in front of Chiefs officials at Arrowhead Stadium.
