Winter weather advisory in effect for Joplin area until 6 a.m.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST
WEDNESDAY...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LIGHT SNOW AND FREEZING DRIZZLE REMAINS
IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST WEDNESDAY.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE AND OCCASIONAL LIGHT
  SNOW SHOWERS OR FLURRIES CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH THE EVENING
  HOURS TONIGHT. WHILE NO ADDITIONAL SIGNIFICANT SNOW
  ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED...THIS LIGHT WINTRY PRECIPITATION
  WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO CREATE ADDITIONAL TRAVEL IMPACTS ON
  AREA ROADWAYS.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...THROUGH EARLY TOMORROW MORNING FOR
  ALL OF SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
  WILL BE VERY LIGHT. STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL WILL RANGE FROM AROUND
  TWO TO FOUR INCHES.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...A THIN GLAZE OF ICE WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH
  THE NIGHT TONIGHT WITH ANY FREEZING DRIZZLE.

* IMPACTS...LIGHT WINTRY PRECIPITATION...ALONG WITH VERY COLD
  TEMPERATURES...WILL RESULT IN CONTINUED TRAVEL IMPACTS ON AREA
  ROADWAYS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL
CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND
LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
