Another position advertised at Joplin R-8 Administration Building
The Joplin R-8 School District is looking for an administrative assistant for its already overstaffed Central Office Building at 32nd and Duquesne. Here is how the job is being advertised:
If you can't walk, your not wanted. That lets out military veterans who have to use a wheelchair. Is that not a ADA violation since they receive Federal and State fundings.
The irony of this situation can't be denied. They have to hire a professional fundraiser (which takes money they can't spare) because they can't control their own spending habits. Then they hire that person an assistant, which costs even more. Why not just cut the excess and be done with the whole problem? That would be too easy, I guess. And, it makes too much sense to have any appeal at R8.

ReplyDeleteIs the workspace ADA compliant?

ReplyDeleteonce again, strike match. hold under tax dollars. same result. wasted money. send the jerks down the road, people.
ReplyDeleteI hope the new employees enjoy living off what could have been raises for people already hired...
