Online Highway Patrol records show that Dr. Mark Westhoff, 56, Carthage, a member of the Carthage R-9 Board of Education, was pulled over at 3:33 a.m. today, but not without some difficulty.
In addition to the misdemeanor DWI charge, Westhoff was cited for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle displaying red and blue lights and siren and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
At one time, Westhoff was board president. His term expires in April 2016.
On February 4, Joplin R-8 Board of Education member Phil Willcoxon was cited for driving while intoxicated and speeding. Willcoxon's arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, in Newton County Circuit Court.
If he is quilty, I hope he resigns from the board. That would be the right thing to do.
ReplyDeleteThis should be covered if he is quilty. Unless he is an afghan, then they should throw him off
ReplyDeleteAre you sure this happened it wasn't in the Globe. Oh wait it must be true the Globe is afraid to print anything negative when it involves school board members.
