Nixon sends letter to Kerry urging approval of Keystone Pipeline

(From Gov. Jay Nixon)

Gov. Jay Nixon today sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry urging the State Department to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline in order to boost American energy independence and create jobs.
“The approval and construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline will strengthen our economy, create jobs, and promote North American energy independence,” Gov. Nixon said. “Our experience in Missouri demonstrates that with the proper oversight and safeguards, these projects can help meet our energy needs, without compromising our responsibility to protect the environment.”
A copy of the letter is available here.

So, we build a pipeline to get the crude down to the Gulf where it will be exported. Gov. Nixon, how does this help Missourians?
