Accused killer of MSSU coach seeks reduction of $1 million bond

Neosho attorney Charles Rhoades filed a motion Thursday in Jasper County Circuit Court seeking to reduce the $1 million bond of his client, Jeffrey Bruner, 37, who is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with the Nov. 1 shooting death of Missouri Southern State University offensive line coach Derek Moore in the parking lot of the Northstar 14 Regal Theater.

This is the second time Rhoades has attempted to have Bruner's bond reduced. Judge Gayle Crane rejected the first attempt April 7.

A miotions hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 5.
