Eighty percent of Salvation Army donations for Joplin never got here

This report from KSDK in St. Louis examines the performance of the Salvation Army following the May 22, 2011, Joplin Tornado. According to KSDK, $4.8 million in contributions for Joplin went to the Salvation Army, but only $1 million of that was spent here. The American Red Cross, on the other hand, received $6 million and spent $7 million in Joplin.
