(From Seventh District Congressman Billy Long)
U.S. Rep. Billy Long released the following statement on the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) new plan to regulate existing power plants.
"President Obama was unable to get his cap-and-trade proposal through Congress so now he and his EPA are proposing new rules attacking the country's largest source of electricity. Coal is one of America's most abundant and affordable sources of energy. Right now Americans are suffering from this bad economy. Despite this, the EPA is pressing forward with regulations that will increase the costs of every American's electric bill.
That's right Billy. Millions of Americans are suffering from this bad economy. They know the bad economy and their suffering is caused in large part by Republican fools like G.W. Bush and Dick Cheney (you are included in this group even though you have been you are rather inconsequential in D.C.)
ReplyDeleteBilly are you smart enough to remember when the American public was told the Iraq reconstruction was was going to be paid for with Iraqi oil revenues? If you don't remember this maybe you can have one of your staffers google Iraq reconstruction to collect the details. In any case Billions were looted out of our pockets and wasted. Some of Dick's business buddies lined their pockets too.
That is just one of the many successful attacks on the American taxpayer either made directly or enabled by Republican policies in the last 30 years. I don't suppose you see things that way though. As Upton Sinclair said, “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”
I eagerly await your press release on the return of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. I expect you will warn about the slippery slope where negotiations such as freed Sgt. Bergdahl will soon lead to a Democrat President making illegal arms deals with Iran. The American public needs to be warned that next thing you know the criminals in Washington D.C. and even in the Pentagon will be selling more than a thousand missiles to the Iranian extremists to be used in a war against a US allied nation. If you aren't familiar with this, have your staffer google Ollie North.
Just because something is abundant and cheap doesn't means it is good for our environment. Sh@t is cheap, but is it good? Poor Billy!!
ReplyDelete9:51 maybe we can power the wind generators with all of your BS. I have lived all of my life a few miles from the Asbury coal plant and the EPA is as dumb as you.
ReplyDelete7:45 You are apparently one of the many denier frogs waiting to be cooked or drowned by global warming. The temperatures and the waters are rising, and the extra carbon dioxide is not free fertilizer.
ReplyDeleteYou probably fondly remember the good old days when we were all free to chase the bugs away by leaving our garbage smouldering all night in the burn barrel out back.
Take a look at Chinese pollution to see what the EPA has helped prevent. A Donora PA every day.
Be sure to report back on your upcoming visit to the Dubya Presidential watercolor gallery. We hear that masterpieces are being produced on a daily basis. Your opinion on this will be worth less than what we will pay you for it.
