THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

 ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TODAY. THE
 BETTER CHANCES FOR STORMS WILL OCCUR EAST OF HIGHWAY 65...OR
 ACROSS THE EASTERN OZARKS. NO SEVERE STORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH
 TODAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

 STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL APPROACH THE REGION FROM THE
 NORTHWEST LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY NIGHT. THESE
 STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL TO THE SIZE OF
 QUARTERS...AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS UP TO 65 MPH. AREAS ALONG AND
 NORTHWEST OF A LINE FROM TABLE ROCK LAKE...TO SPRINGFIELD...AND
 TO LAKE OF THE OZARKS WILL EXPERIENCE THE BEST CHANCES FOR SEVERE
 WEATHER LATE SATURDAY.

 ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL OCCUR SUNDAY THROUGH THE
 MIDDLE OF NEXT WORK WEEK.

 HEAT INDICES WILL CLIMB INTO THE LOW TO MIDDLE 90S FROM SUNDAY
 INTO NEXT TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY.
