City of Joplin finance director- State auditors won't find anything
It should be noted the city finance director is one of several department heads who do not live in Joplin despite the city council passing several years ago a requirement that all city department heads live in Joplin proper. I'm tired of people in a position of leadership in this city not having a vested interest in Joplin. If they don't live here or send their kids to school here, why do they get to make decisions with my tax dollars?
Routine financial audits deal with the issue of whether mistakes have been made. This audit is to ensure taxpayer money and donations have been spent appropriately. If auditors first look at Wallace-Bajjali and the fiasco surrounding them, they may find something very quickly.
Giving advance notice of these types of audits. Gived the city time to have shredding and hard drive deleting parties. Should just show up with paperwork and get to work.
Randy, I don't think she said they wouldn't find anything.
ReplyDelete7:07 is correct imo.
ReplyDeleteNotice the non-verbal communication at this point in the discussion.
"If we make a mistake the important thing is to learn from the mistake..."
